Dr. Griffin is the inaugural Director of Texas Creative and teaches courses in both the theory and practice of creativity and portfolio development. His research on creativity, advertising education and social responsibility has appeared in the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Product and Brand Management, the Journal of Advertising Education and Psychology and Advertising, among other publications. During his career, he has led portfolio programs at SMU, the University of Alabama and the University of Colorado – Boulder and was previously a creative faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin.
Creative work by his students has been featured in both national and international press, including Advertising Age, Adweek and CMYK magazines and recognized by The One Club for Creativity, the Art Directors Club of New York and the Clio Awards.
He is also co-author of The Creative Process Illustrated: How Advertising’s Big Ideas Are Born (HOW Books – 2010) with Deborah Morrison (University of Oregon).

Lynn Wehrman was one of the first Digital Accessibility Specialists in the nation, when she began accessibility work for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan in 2008. Pioneering the agency’s first accessible website and document program, she created an interactive process where stakeholders with disabilities were consulted along the way. Lynn founded WeCo in 2011. Raised in Wisconsin farm country, Lynn and her four sisters were born with different forms of Epilepsy. Lynn was misdiagnosed with a major mental illness as a young teen, learning as an adult that she had Borderline Personality Disorder traits. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy saved her life. Lynn is a strong advocate for people who are neurodiverse, and those who live with mental illness. She is also a strong advocate for the recovery of people living with Borderline Personality Disorder. A single parent for many year, Lynn has a grown daughter, and now lives in a small-town north of Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband.

Dane is an Internation Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP)Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC). Dane’s ability to translate his life experience into the client’s accessibility code requirements, are utterly amazing to witness. We identified Dane’s unique abilities to understand digital accessibility when he explained to us that he had taught himself code to improve the performance of his screen reader. A unique self-taught professional with strong interpersonal skills, he is asked for repeatedly by our retainer clients. Dane’s disability life skills are blindness/low vision and neurodiverse/cognitive. Dane leads WeCo’s mentor program for aspiring Accessibility Specialists. Kansas born and raised, Dane is repeatedly asked for by clients for his warm, approachable teaching manner.

Ellen’s educational and background in usability testing, and technical writing has fostered meaningful testing and learning collaborations between our clients and our Testers. Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ellen also holds a certification in Instructional Design and is a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Ellen’s disability life skill is neurodiverse/cognitive. She loves cooking and attending weekend craft shows near her home outside of the Twin Cities area in Minnesota.
