2023 Annual Conference Information
Register by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, and receive the discounted, early registration fee of $370.
For registrations received by TML after 5 p.m. on May 23, the registration fee is $390.
We have 15 spots open for your students/interns to register for the conference at a reduced rate. A person does not qualify for the student/intern rate if they are employed full time in the industry. The fee is $285 until Tuesday, May 23. After May 23, the registration fee is $305. (All prices are based on availability.)
The registration fee is $445.
The registration fee includes:
- All sessions from Wednesday through Friday, excluding the preconference sessions
- Afternoon break on Wednesday
- Breakfast, lunch, refreshment breaks, and TAMI Awards Banquet on Thursday
- Breakfast on Friday
There are two to choose from. There is an additional fee of $40 to attend either.
As communicators, we’re always looking for ways to be more efficient. Whether you have a large or small staff, Canva continues to be a growing platform for making quick flyers, presentations, social media posts, logos, and even videos.
Even if you aren’t a skilled graphic designer, the templates make it easy to create and post professional material to your community. There are many tools that maximize your finished product, while cutting down on the production time and cost to your taxpaying citizens that even regular users of Canva may miss. Did you also know that Canva continues to add features from other separate online programs? So, instead of having several accounts, and spending money on several other online programs, you may just be able to use Canva for all of your online production work.
Create a free Canva account beforehand (or have your current login information with you), bring your laptops and join us for this three hour preconference session as we dive into the enhanced features of Canva, and offer for some hands-on-experience in using this growing and popular platform!
Tour of AT&T Stadium
In this guided tour, you will get a behind the scenes look at the stadium that hosts the Cowboys’ football games and other big events. Some of the places you’ll get to see is the cheerleaders and players dressing rooms and, special for TAMIO, the traffic control room with an explanation of how they keep the streets flowing and the security control room. You’ll meet at the TAMIO registration at 9:00 a.m. and then walk to the stadium for this 1 ½ hour tour.
Wednesday Night Networking – Game and Dinner at Globe Life Field
This is usually the night for Restaurant Romp, but we are taking advantage of the location and have contracted a sky box so we can all have dinner and sit together to watch the baseball game. We will collect at the hotel and walk over the field. There is an additional fee of $50 to attend this event.
TAMI Awards Dinner
The TAMI Awards will be presented at a dinner on Thursday, June 8, and is included in the conference registration. You will be emailed a few weeks in advance to R.S.V.P. for the Awards Dinner. Your R.S.V.P. is required to be guaranteed a seat at the Awards Dinner. Additional tickets for guests to attend the dinner may be purchased for $60 each. Tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, May 31. No tickets will be sold at the conference.
The conference and guest rooms are at Live! by Loews, 1600 E. Randol Mill Road, Arlington, Texas. Our discounted guest room rate is $199 per night until May 23rd or the block sells out. BOOK YOUR ROOM.
The conference mobile app will have the complete schedule, session descriptions, speaker bios, attendees and more. An e-blast will be sent out approximately two weeks prior to the conference with your link.
The hotel does not provide a free shuttle to either airports. DFW International Airport is roughly 20 minutes away and Dallas Love Field Airport is about 30 minutes from the hotel.
If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $45 cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is emailed to email@example.com by Tuesday, May 30. No refunds will be honored after that date.
Conference badges will be available onsite at registration.
